Four bolts and a split pin holding the pedal removed – the servo pulls out without any problems, needs cleaning up and painting.

This is my record of the restoration of my 1977 Triumph TR7, I bought the car in 1983 for £1500. Over the four years of driving it I had got married, moved to a 110 year old cottage in need of renovation and given a new company car. The TR was parked in the garage (1987) at the end of the garden. I always joked saying "that one day I put it back on the road". Twenty-four years later (Nov 2011) that day has arrived - wish me luck.

Brake and clutch master/slave cylinders removed...
So I started by undoing the brake pipes into the balance valve and removing the retaining bolt. Removed the two bolts holding the master cylinder in place, I needed a screw driver to part it from the servo. The pressure failure switch broke (another item for the shopping list!) when trying to disconnect it.
The clutch master and slave cylinders unbolted without any problems.
All three cylinders will need to be stripped and overhauled before refitting.

Rear brake shoes fitted...
With some new parts and a borrowed tapping tool – I drilled out and re-threaded the drum retaining screw hole that I needed to drill out when dismantling. I fitted the old shoes which I will need to replace later.
